The Holy Spirit And Holy Living
Text: Galatians 5:16–25; Romans 8:13
Holy living is impossible without the Holy Spirit. Many believers try to overcome sin through willpower, but the flesh cannot defeat the flesh.
The Holy Spirit empowers you to:
- Resist temptation
- Overcome sinful habits
- Live righteously
The Christian life is not about self-effort, it is about Spirit-dependence.
There is a constant battle between the flesh and the Spirit. The flesh pulls you toward sin, while the Spirit leads you toward righteousness.
Victory comes when you choose to walk in the Spirit.
Walking in the Spirit means:
- Yielding your desires to Him
- Listening to His promptings
- Following His leading consistently
- Biblical Illustration

Peter, who once denied Jesus, stood boldly to preach.
