Using Your Gifts For God’s Glory and Eternal Impact
Text: Matthew 5:16; Colossians 3:17; 1 Corinthians 10:31
Introduction
The ultimate goal of every gift is the glory of God.
Not personal fame.
Not recognition.
Not applause.
Everything we have belongs to Him.
The Danger of Seeking Personal Glory
One of the greatest temptations gifted people face is pride.
When gifts begin producing success, recognition, and influence, it becomes easy to shift attention from God to self.
But gifts were never meant to make us famous.
They were given to make Christ known.
Living for Eternal Impact
The world measures success by:
- Wealth
- Fame
- Influence
God measures success by:
- Faithfulness
- Obedience
- Stewardship
At the end of life, the greatest question will not be:
“How gifted were you?”
But:
“What did you do with what I gave you?”
Biblical Illustration: Paul
Paul was highly gifted.
Yet his greatest concern was not personal recognition but faithfulness to Christ.
His life was poured out for the Gospel and for God’s glory.
Deeper Insight
A gift surrendered to God can influence generations.
One obedient life can affect:
- Families
- Churches
- Communities
- Nations
Application
- Dedicate your gifts to God.
- Refuse pride.
- Seek eternal impact over temporary applause.
- Use every opportunity to glorify Christ.
Shalom
