Introduction

Evangelism is more than speaking about Jesus; it is also living in a way that points others to Him. While every believer should be ready to explain the hope of the Gospel, our words become far more powerful when supported by a godly lifestyle.

At work or school, people are constantly watching how Christians respond to pressure, criticism, disappointment, and success. They notice whether we gossip, complain, forgive, encourage, and remain honest.

A life that reflects Christ often opens doors for conversations about the Gospel.

Living a Credible Witness

Our witness begins with Christlike character.

This includes:

• Humility.
• Kindness.
• Patience.
• Honesty.
• Compassion.
• Self-control.

These qualities make the Gospel attractive.

Speaking With Wisdom

There are appropriate moments to share our faith.

We should:

• Speak respectfully.
• Listen carefully.
• Avoid arguments.
• Answer questions with grace.
• Pray for opportunities.

The goal is not to win debates but to lead people toward Christ.

Responding to Opposition

Not everyone will appreciate Christian convictions.

Some may ridicule or reject believers.

Jesus warned that His followers would face opposition.

Yet we are called to respond with love rather than hostility.

Our response often reveals the depth of our faith.

Biblical Illustration

The young Hebrew girl taken captive into Syria could have become bitter. Instead, she compassionately directed Naaman to the prophet Elisha, leading to Naaman’s healing and acknowledgment of Israel’s God.

Her quiet faith influenced an entire household.

Application

• Live consistently before others.
• Pray for opportunities to share Christ.
• Speak with humility and grace.
• Let your character support your testimony.
