Faith Over Fear of Tomorrow
Fear about the future can quietly dominate a believer’s thoughts. While faith looks to God’s promises, fear imagines worst-case scenarios. Jesus addressed worry because He knew how destructive it could become.
“Do not worry about tomorrow.” — Matthew 6:34
Fear robs joy, drains strength, and clouds spiritual vision.
Body: Biblical Teaching
Fear does not originate from God.
“God has not given us a spirit of fear.” — 2 Timothy 1:7
Faith anchors the soul even when circumstances remain uncertain.
“When I am afraid, I will trust in You.” — Psalm 56:3
Illustration
Fear is like staring at waves instead of the Savior. When Peter focused on the storm, he sank. When he focused on Jesus, he walked on water (Matthew 14).
Application
- Identify fear-based thinking
- Replace worry with Scripture
- Practice daily gratitude
