Many people want to hear from God but aren’t sure what that actually looks like. They expect a dramatic moment or a clear voice, and when that doesn’t happen, they wonder if God is silent or distant. The Bible shows a different picture. God speaks in steady, reliable ways, often quieter than we expect, but no less real.

Hearing from God is less about chasing experiences and more about learning to recognize how He already communicates.

God Speaks First Through Scripture

The primary way God speaks is through His Word. Scripture isn’t just information. It reveals God’s character, His will, and His guidance for daily life. Any sense of direction or prompting that contradicts the Bible is not from God.
