LIVING DIFFERENT IN A CORRUPT WORLD
Text: Romans 12:2; Matthew 5:13–16
We are living in a generation where sin is celebrated and righteousness is questioned. In such a world, living holy will make you stand out.
God never called believers to blend in , He called them to stand out. You are the light of the world and the salt of the earth. Light does not negotiate with darkness; it overcomes it.
Conformity is subtle. It does not happen suddenly, it happens gradually. A little compromise here, a small adjustment there, until eventually your standards begin to look like the world’s standards.
Transformation, however, is intentional. It requires renewing your mind daily through God’s Word.
Your mind is the battlefield. If the enemy controls your thinking, he will control your living.
Biblical Illustration
Daniel (Daniel 1) refused to defile himself in Babylon. He was in a foreign land, under pressure, surrounded by a different culture, but he stood firm.
Daniel did not wait until things got worse, he made a decision early.
Because of this:
God gave him wisdom
God gave him favor
God elevated him
