The Call for Laborers
Every generation faces its own challenges, but one need has stayed the same since the days of Jesus. The world is full of people who are hurting, searching, and hungry for truth. Yet the number of people willing to step in, serve, and share hope is always smaller than the need. Scripture names this problem with simple clarity. Jesus called it a harvest waiting for workers.
A Harvest That Is Ready
“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” Matthew 9:37–38
Why Laborers Are Needed
“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” Romans 10:14
The Heart of a Laborer
“Whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.” Colossians 3:23
The Call Is Personal
“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then I said, Here am I. Send me.” Isaiah 6:8
A Prayer for Today
Lord, send out laborers. And if it is Your will, let us be among them. Give us eyes that see people the way You see them, hearts that feel compassion, and hands ready to serve.
