Spiritual Stability in Times of Testing

Introduction
One major sign of maturity is stability.
Immature believers are easily shaken.
Their faith rises and falls based on circumstances.
Mature believers remain anchored in God regardless of circumstances.
The Purpose of Testing
God uses trials to:
- Strengthen faith
- Develop endurance
- Reveal weaknesses
- Produce maturity
Testing is not evidence that God has abandoned you.
Often it is evidence that God is developing you.
Biblical Illustration
Job experienced devastating loss.
Yet through suffering, he maintained faith in God.
His circumstances changed, but his trust remained.
Characteristics of Spiritual Stability
Mature believers:
- Trust God during uncertainty
- Remain faithful during hardship
- Continue praying during delays
- Refuse bitterness during disappointment
The Danger of Spiritual Instability
An unstable believer:
- Is easily discouraged
- Is vulnerable to deception
- Lives by emotions rather than truth
Application
- Build your faith through God’s Word.

- Trust God even when answers seem delayed.
