Serving In Love And Compassion
Text: Galatians 5:13; Matthew 25:35–40
Service without love becomes empty duty. Love is the foundation of true service.
Jesus showed us that serving people is serving God. When you feed the hungry, help the needy, or comfort the broken—you are ministering to Christ Himself.
Compassion moves service from obligation to passion.
In today’s world, it is easy to become self-focused. But the Gospel calls us outward—to care, to give, to serve.
Love-driven service:
- Sees needs
- Feels compassion
- Takes action
It is not enough to feel sorry, you must respond.
Biblical Illustration
The Good Samaritan (Luke 10) saw a wounded man and chose to help when others ignored him.
He:
- Stopped
- Sacrificed time
- Gave resources
This is what love in action looks like.
