Bible Study — Nourishing the Inner Life
The Word of God is essential nourishment for the believer. Without Scripture, spiritual growth becomes impossible.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
God’s Word instructs and strengthens:
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
Illustration
Just as the body weakens without food, the soul weakens without God’s Word. A malnourished believer is easily discouraged, confused, and vulnerable to deception.
Jesus relied on Scripture in temptation:
“It is written…” — Matthew 4:4
Consistent engagement with God’s Word renews the mind and strengthens faith.
Application
- Read Scripture daily, not occasionally
- Meditate instead of rushing
- Apply what you read immediately
- The Word shapes thinking, behavior, and faith.
