Purpose IS Discovered In God’s Presence

Purpose IS Discovered In God’s Presence

Text: Proverbs 3:5–6; Psalm 25:4–5; James 1:5

Purpose is not something you figure out by yourself—it is something God reveals.

Many people look for purpose in:
  • Society
  • Career paths
  • Opinions of others
  • Personal ambition

But true purpose is found in God.

If God created you, then only God can define your purpose.

Discovery requires relationship. You cannot know God’s will if you are distant from His presence.

In a noisy world filled with distractions, many people cannot hear God clearly. Purpose is not hidden because God wants to confuse you, it is revealed to those who seek Him.

The more time you spend with God:
  • The clearer your direction becomes
  • The stronger your conviction grows
  • The more confident you become in your calling
Biblical Illustration

Moses discovered his purpose at the burning bush (Exodus 3). Before that moment, he was living in confusion and obscurity.

But one encounter with God changed everything.

This shows:
  • Purpose is revealed in God’s presence
  • One divine encounter can redirect your life
    Deeper Insight
To discover purpose:
  • You must seek God consistently
  • You must quiet distractions
  • You must be willing to listen

Purpose is not rushed, it is revealed progressively.

Application
  • Develop a daily prayer life
  • Spend time in God’s Word
