Love in the Family — Parents and Children

Love in the Family — Parents and Children

The family is God’s first institution for shaping lives and passing on faith. Yet families today face immense pressure—from busyness, technology, financial stress, and cultural confusion. God’s Word calls families back to a foundation of love, discipline, and godly example.

“These commandments… impress them on your children.”Deuteronomy 6:6–7

Biblical Teaching

Parents are instructed to lead with love, not harshness.

“Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”Ephesians 6:4

Children are called to honor their parents.

“Honor your father and mother.” Exodus 20:12

Love in the family reflects God’s care.

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion.”Psalm 103:13

A child learns more from what they see than what they hear. A home filled with prayer, patience, and kindness becomes a living sermon.

Reflection & Closing

Ask Yourself :
