Releasing Regret and Missed Opportunities
Many believers are haunted by regret — wrong choices, missed chances, or delayed obedience. The phrase “If only I had…” becomes a heavy burden.
Yet God is a Redeemer.
“The Lord redeems your life from the pit.” — Psalm 103:4
God specializes in restoration.
“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.” — Joel 2:25

A skilled potter can take cracked, misshapen clay and reshape it into something beautiful. The flaws do not stop the process; they become part of the final design. In the same way, God uses surrendered regrets to form wisdom, humility, and purpose.
Paul chose not to live in regret:
“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal.” — Philippians 3:13–14
Your past delays cannot cancel God’s future purposes.
Application
- Stop dwelling on “what if”
- Trust God’s redemptive power
- Move forward with hope
