You Are Redeemed, Forgiven, And Free
Text: Colossians 1:13–14; Romans 8:1–2; John 8:36
One of Satan’s greatest weapons against believers is guilt and condemnation.
Many Christians have accepted salvation intellectually, but emotionally they still live imprisoned by shame.
They constantly remember:
- Past sins
- Past failures
- Past mistakes
But the cross was sufficient.
Jesus did not partially save you, He completely redeemed you.
Redemption means:
- You were bought back
- Your debt was paid
- Your bondage was broken
Forgiveness is not temporary relief, it is complete cleansing.
The enemy wants believers to live in condemnation because condemned people struggle to walk boldly with God.
But Romans 8 declares:
“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.”
Biblical Illustration
The woman caught in adultery (John 8) expected condemnation, but Jesus offered forgiveness and restoration.
He did not ignore her sin, but He also did not define her by it.
This reveals:
- God’s mercy
- God’s power to restore dignity
Deeper Insight

- You are spiritually free
- You are no longer a slave to sin
Freedom in Christ is both positional and practical.
